As we study God's Word and handle it properly,
God, the Holy Spirit, reveals more and deeper aspects of His truth to us
so we can apply it to our daily living....

It is the Word of God that establishes God’s will in the earth.
It is the Spirit of God that enables, illumines, and empowers that Word.

Psa 119:103-106  [NASB]    How sweet are Your words to my taste!   Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
From Your precepts I get understanding;   Therefore I hate every false way.
Your word is a lamp to my feet   And a light to my path.
I have sworn and I will confirm it,   That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.

Psa 119:9-11 [NASB]    How can a young man keep his way pure?   By keeping it according to Your word.
With all my heart I have sought You;   Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
Your word I have treasured in my heart,   That I may not sin against You.

Only God's Word is reliable and unchanging
DO NOT ACCEPT ANYONE'S OPINION OR TEACHING
WITHOUT MEASURING IT AGAINST GOD'S WORD.

What God says is so , is so...
What God says is not so, is not so...
When God's Word is silent, our conclusions, interpretations, applications and assumptions
are only possibilities at best.

God's truth does not change.   Our understanding of it does change,
Use these study notes / handouts as thought starters, let them challenge you but,
let God's Word be your measuring stick of truth and let God, the Holy Spirit be your teacher.

Acts 17:11...they received the word with all readiness of mind,
and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

What does it say or mean to me?   What should I do or not do?   What do I need to change in my life?
What does it tell me about God?    His character?    What He likes and dislikes?
Why did God include this story, this information, in His Word to me?

When was the last time you read something in God's Word and you changed the way you
thought or talked or lived because of what you read?

BEFORE you open your Bible to study God's Word,
determine that God's message to you, whatever it is, you will apply to your life ....

If I claim that I believe God's Word is true, how should I be living it out in my life?
